Mr. Abdul Haque FCA, S/o Late Abdul Khaleque was born on 15th January, 1959 in a respectable Muslim family at Bhanga Upazilla of Faridpur district. He completed B.Sc from Rajshahi University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB ) in 1991.
He started his career in M.J. Abedin & Co., Chartered Accountants, a member firm of MOORE STEPHENS International Ltd. as an Audit Assistant / Manager. He served in Metro Textile Mills Ltd. Savar, Dhaka. as Chief Accountant being Head of Finance, Accounts and Corporate Affairs. He also served in Swede Bangla Ltd., representative firm of AB Sukab, Stockholm, Sweden, as Chief Accountant being Head of Finance, Accounts and Corporate Affairs. He also served Rahman Rahman Huq, Chartered Accountants, member firm of KPMG International as Senior Manager, Audit and Consultancy Service.
Mr. Haque started Insurance Career in 1993 with Federal Insurance Co. Ltd. as Company Secretary & CFO and continued for more than 17 years of which 5 years as Deputy Managing Director being immediate next to Managing Director as Head of Finance, Claims and Corporate Affairs and held Current Charge of Chief Executive Officer in several times. He also served Mercantile Insurance Co. Ltd. as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for 4 years. He has joined in Nortrhern General Insurance Company as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2016.
Mr. Haque has 37 years working experience in Commercial Organization and Insurance sector. He has successfully completed various type of Insurance Courses organized by Bangladesh Insurance Academy and awarded distinction. He is Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh ( Enrolment no. 630 ) and Member of Bangladesh Insurance Forum & Association of Insurance Executives. He is a part time Lecturer of Bangladesh Insurance Academy & Bangladesh Insurance Association
Mr. Haque is a well-Traveled man and visited UK, USA, KSA, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, India, Nepal etc.
